💯 Your description of the slow crumble is so accurate! I loved flipping the narrative on envy, that feeling of collaboration is super rewarding and actually just nice - especially when on the daily you work by yourself.

Thanks Amie! I won't lie that flip in mindset was pretty transformative. Makes such a difference and just makes you feel good too! I'm also finding that changing the way I use social media helps with this…using it as a tool instead of spending hours on it…but that's a whole other convo 😂

Interesting re social media, maybe I need to take that approach. I'm struggling with social media at the moment feeling very disconnected and disinterested, which is clearly not ideal when trying to build a business!

I totally understand, I have always had a love-hate relationship with Instagram and found it pretty detrimental to my mental health. But one thing that really helped me was using it in a way that works for me, and not for the algorithm and if that means less likes then that's ok. I try and use it as a shop window to get people to another platform that I actually enjoy using and get more out of...Substack! But that could also be your website or a personal blog. I've found this shifts the focus away from social media and onto a place/platform where I can be more me and add more value.

This resonates a lot with me too in the travel writer/creator/planner industry. Not to mention, Italy. It all feels so saturated and yet that shouldn't be a reason not to share.. but it's definitely important to reframe things and know why we're doing something to begin with!

100%! Sometimes I feel like the low points are inevitable but it's about realigning with ourselves and always coming back to our own path 🤍
